Singapore-headquartered OneByZero said on 5 October that it had raised US$20 million in a Series A round led by Jungle Ventures, its first external funding. The enterprise AI deployment company plans to use the money to expand engineering teams across its existing markets, establish a team in Japan and develop its NEO platform.

The funding gives the company resources for a planned expansion of its delivery business. Its announcement identifies nine existing markets, including Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, alongside Australia, India and the United States. It does not disclose a valuation or the date on which the financing closed.

OneByZero describes its approach as placing engineers alongside enterprise customers to identify uses for AI, integrate systems into existing workflows, and remain involved after deployment. It says it has spent the past three years working with enterprises in financial services, telecommunications and retail. Those deployments are existing business activity, separate from the newly announced financing.

Expansion plans centre on delivery teams and governance

The company says it will grow its engineering and customer relationships in its current markets and build a local team in Japan. It also plans to extend into conglomerates, healthcare and the public sector. The release does not give a hiring total, a timetable for the Japan team or a breakdown of investment by country.

Product investment will focus on NEO, which OneByZero describes as its AI deployment and governance platform, and on its AI Coworkers: software agents with defined roles and controls. The company says the platform records agent actions and lets customers set boundaries around automated work and human judgement. Planned development includes industry templates and support for customers building AI with open-weight and small language models.

For Southeast Asian enterprise buyers, the distinction is between funding available to expand the supplier and delivery capacity already in place. The announcement identifies a regional footprint but does not quantify the additional engineers or sector teams that each market will receive. Buyers evaluating an engagement would still need to establish who will implement and maintain it locally, which tasks can be automated and where a person must remain accountable.

OneByZero also reports annual revenue growth and performance improvements from existing deployments. The release does not provide audited financial figures or detailed customer-level evidence, so those statements remain company claims rather than independently verified results. The financing announcement establishes the reported capital raise; it does not establish that the planned expansion or future customer benefits have already been delivered.
